MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — We know the driver who backed over and killed a little girl in Brooklyn Center was her dad.
Fourteen-month-old Adalyn Lor died when her father, Xeng Lor, moved his SUV from the garage, where he was grilling, on Monday.
He didn’t know his daughter was back there.
Adalyn died from multiple head injuries.
According to investigators, her death was a horrible accident.
The president of Alamo Driving School, Mohamed Abdulahi, says that paying attention to the little things can save lives. And AAA, the motor and travel club, agrees.
The experts say you should have the mindset that your children are always around. They advise that you check the driveway, the street and the surrounding areas before backing up.
Also, make sure you’re aware of your children’s whereabouts. Have them stay in your field of vision away from the vehicle.
